01 · What we store in your browser

This website does not use first-party or third-party cookies for tracking or advertising. It uses two strictly technical browser storage mechanisms: sessionStorage (cleared when you close the tab) and local storage to remember your preferences for using the website.

02 · What we use them for

sessionStorage keeps data that is cleared when you close the tab: that you have already seen the intro animation when you entered the website (46p-lights), so it does not play again on every page; where you were on the home page (46p-home-y), so going back returns you there; and the region whose prices and currency we show you (46p-region-auto and 46p-region-geo). We work out that region from the approximate country you are visiting from, which Cloudflare (the service the website runs through) tells us based on your IP address without us storing it, and, if that is not available, from your device’s time zone or your browser language.

Local storage remembers three of your choices: that you have already closed the cookie notice (46p-cookie-note), that you have already closed the notice saying the website is available in another language (46p-lang-hint) and the region you picked in the footer, if you changed it (46p-region). None of this data identifies who you are or leaves your browser.

03 · Why the cookie notice only informs

The law does not require consent for storage that is strictly necessary for the website to work technically, which is the only kind we use. That is why we do not ask for your permission: the first time you visit, we only show you an informative notice. When you click “Got it”, we save that choice in your browser (local storage) so we do not show it again.

04 · Fonts

The fonts used on this website are hosted on our own server: your browser does not connect to Google Fonts or any other external font service when the page loads.

05 · If we add analytics in the future

If at some point we add analytics tools that require non-technical cookies, we will ask you first with a consent banner and update this policy.
